I never expected to find a recipe for filled tacos in the Simply Delicious cookbooks. 9-6: Filled Tacos are an easy and filling dinner. The prep is the longest part. 🌮

I bought a box of prepared taco shells at the store. Different from the kind shown in the photos provided by Simply Delicious, but they got the job done. 🇲🇽

My avocados weren’t ready yet, so I prepared my own version of tacos. Mine came out a little different from the Simply Delicious recipe.
I was out of taco seasoning, so I made my own from other spices in the cabinet that Jamie assured me would work. The ingredients totally worked out so I’m going to give her a big round of applause here! 👏🙏🏼👏🏿🙏🏽
The meat is sizzling in the pan and I put some chili seasoning, cumin, and oregano onto the meat. Eventually I hit it with a little hot sauce and it tasted exactly like a taco seasoning packet!
The taco shells fit in the toaster oven, but only with the rack on the bottom. These flat-bottomed shells stand up all on their own!
Here’s the taco bar I created, minus the lactose-free sour cream.
Make them up 🌮”Taco Bell Style”🌮:: ground beef, lettuce, shredded cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, and a dash of hot sauce. 👍🏻
