This salad made a quick dinner on a hot summer night where I didn’t want to heat up the oven. 🔥
Following the suggestions under “Good served with:“, I served some this salad with some toasted bread. 🍞
The obligatory ingredient shot, missing the salt. I forget the salt a lot, it is a bad habit of mine. 😝
First step: Slice the tomatoes into super thin slices. 🍅
Second Step: Toss the capers and onions in with the tomatoes. 🍴
Third and Fourth Step: Whisk up the dressing and pour on top of the salad. 🌧 Make it rain dressing!
My final plating with some custom additions came over very nicely. Some toast slices, cut into quarters and a balsamic glaze drizzle worked to soak up the acidic flavor of the dressing and tomatoes. A dusting of smoked salt was a great finishing touch. 👓
